The GIF : superstar of Moving The Still

We all love GIFs, (in a way, this blog was inspired by GIFs).
This year, the GIF turned 25, going from that old windows über pixeled dolphin to elaborated and quality GIFs we see today. On this special occasion, the Moving The Still exhibition has been organized in Miami !
Their first question was, how do you pronounce GIF ?

A high number of artists (including internet artists) and journalists attended the event. For instance, Johnny Misheff, the New York Times’ Visiting Artists writer who headed up the council, frames the show as an ode to the very young, anonymous arbiters of the GIF. “A good percentage of the more arresting GIFs we’ve seen spreading throughout the Internet like wildfire are produced by kids barely in their teens with incredible senses of beauty, political wit and, of course, humor”.
GIFs are currently “our generation’s most recognizable form of digital media”, and certainly one of the most accessible form of art.

And now guess what ? We’ve just found out that GIFs, as a piece of art, can be bought. BUT HOW ?

#Documentary : Dancing City : JOHANNESBURG

You can imagine the level of dancing moves in South Africa. Well, thanks to Martin Meissonnier (who used to produce Fela Kuti – yeah, i know right) you can now have a better idea of what is happening over there… and it’s pretty sick.

Dancing City : Johannesburg is a documentary and will be aired on France Ô – 27th november at 8:40pm

Snoop Doggy-Dog and Dr.Dre closed the Coachella Festival yesterday, and that was a hell of a show !
The two moguls performed their most famous hits and invited Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Warren G and many more to join them on stage.
Craziness of the night: Snoop and Dre brought TUPAC SHAKUR hologram to Coachella !!
Man, wish we were there ! But thanx to the interwebs we can have a little idea of what happened in California last night.
