The Johnny Cash Project

JOHNNY CASH. They call him king of country music, but to us he’s way more than that.
A 50 years carrier, 145 albums, Johnny Cash musical journey has been incredible and inspiried a lot of people in many ways.
In 2005, two years after his death, James Mangold directed Walk The Line a biopic movie on Cash life starring Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter.

In 2006, several singers and actors appeared in God’s gonna cut you down video to pay tribute to Johnny Cash :
Justin Timberlake, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Jay Z, Travis Barker, Kanye West, Johnny Depp … and many more !

And now here comes The Johnny Cash Project ! The concept is not revolutionnary, but still awesome !
It’s an interactive website suggesting interwebers/Johnny Cash fans to draw a portrait of Cash that will be integrated to the new posthumous video for the song Ain’t No Grave !
This very creative project keeps Johnny Cash memory alive. The digital print transmits the Man in black‘s spirit to the next generations !
